Within the Youth Green Compass project, numerous activities are being carried out in each of the five major European cities involved, and various outputs are being produced that will support the younger generation in their journey of learning and awareness regarding environmental sustainability practices.
Here are the 3 main outputs and activities:

We are producing a board game that will enable educators and youth workers to address the issue of environmental sustainability.

We will host 35 youth-led events on environmental sustainability in 5 countries.

We are developing a series of challenges aimed at discovering good sustainability practices and activities that can be applied in everyday life.
Are you a youth worker or an educator? Are you a youngster living in one of the 5 cities involved by the project? Let us know and join Youth Green Compass today!
Let us know! The Kick-off Meeting of Youth Green Compass took place in Kaunas, where project partners from five major European cities met to coordinate the implementation of the project and align on objectives, roles, and next steps.
In this first part, all partners, led by Innovative Zentrum fur Bildung, contributed to the creation of the first version of the board game that can be used by teachers, youth workers and educators to inform and train young people on issues related to environmental policies.
In the summer of 2025, the project saw the first real involvement of stakeholders and beneficiaries in a facilitated activity aimed at identifying their needs, opinions, perspectives and trends related to sustainability. In this activity, the partners began to build the local community that will be involved in the project throughout its duration and created analytical reports on the issues that emerged in each city.
In Fall 2025, all the partners piloted and tested the First Version of the Educational Board Game with their close communities of professionals and friends. During the piloting, each partner collected a series of feedback to improve the Board Game.
In Fall 2025, each partner identified a group of local youngsters that will implement the 7 local events of the World Environmental in the involved European cities. In order to do so, the local group have met in Kaunas where they had a chance to connect and share ideas and best practices.
During the Youth Meeting, they had the opportunity to work on the events programming and to inspire each others with new perspectives and precious tips!
Once the feedback has been collected, the second version of the board game will finally have everything it needs to finalize every detail and be ready for launch!
The launch of the educational board game will coincide with a series of training sessions that will take place in each of the cities involved. These training sessions will involve youth workers, educators, and school teachers in order to prepare them to implement the game in classrooms, youth meeting places, and during educational courses.
The underlying idea is to provide them with non-formal educational tools that break with traditional educational models and foster critical awareness.

The partners will identify a series of challenges focused on environmental sustainability. These will be uploaded to a digital platform and will serve as a guide to encourage people, day by day, to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and engage in activities that are increasingly mindful of the planet.
In each city, the Youth Green Compass youth groups will carry out 7 different sustainability-focused activities involving local stakeholders. From documentary screenings to swap parties, as well as clean-up actions and conferences, each city will be swept up by a wave of green enthusiasm!
In each of the countries involved by the project, the partners will organise multiplier events engaging the main stakeholders relevant to the project. The aim will be to share what has been achieved and to disseminate the tools developed within the project.
