Mano Europa Implemented Local Training on the Youth Green Compass Educational Game

Mano Europa successfully organized a local training activity dedicated to the Youth Green Compass educational game, bringing together 15 participants eager to explore innovative approaches to youth education, sustainability, and European Union policies through gamification.

The training provided participants with a hands-on opportunity to fully experience the Youth Green Compass game. Through active participation, they were able to familiarize themselves with the game’s mechanics, educational objectives, and practical applications in youth work. By playing the game themselves, participants gained a deeper understanding of how interactive learning methods can effectively engage young people in discussions about environmental decisions, its impact and European values.

Throughout the training, participants were encouraged to ask questions and clarify any aspects of the game that were unclear. This open and interactive environment allowed for meaningful discussions about the game’s content, rules, and learning outcomes. Trainers guided participants through the different stages of the game, ensuring that everyone felt confident in their ability to facilitate the activity in future educational settings.

Part of the training was dedicated to a feedback and reflection session. Participants shared their impressions of the game, discussing everything from the clarity of the instructions to the overall user experience. The group explored the educational impact the game can have when used in youth work, highlighting its potential to increase young people’s awareness of environmental challenges, encourage critical thinking, and promote active citizenship.

The discussion also focused on how the Youth Green Compass game can help young people better understand European Union policies through an engaging and accessible learning format. Participants recognized gamification as a powerful tool for making complex topics more relatable, interactive, and enjoyable for young audiences.

The activity concluded with a formal evaluation session, where participants reflected on their learning experience and provided recommendations for future implementation. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the value of experiential learning and the importance of innovative educational tools in supporting youth engagement.
